Rick would like to keep this offer to new groups who haven’t had the opportunity to record in a professional studio in hopes that it may help to promote them in getting gigs or obtaining A/R recognition.
As said before there are absolutely no strings attached. Each band will go home with a mixed CD containing two 2~4 minute songs. RQS will in no way own any rights to this material. Any of the studio gear can be used to create your masterpiece but time can only allow a conservative amount of Pro Tool editing and mastering. Pitch tuning vocals is way too lengthy a process to entertain so practice up!
The only thing asked is that the band will give recording and production credits on their CD or where applicable, and a link to Rick Quest Studio on your web site. In return you will get your e-mail or web site posted on the ‘Rick Quest 2-Free Demos Web Site’ for promotional purposes and a professional CD to help you on your way to stardom.
You will need to bring your guitars, amps are left to your desecration. You must also agree to use the house drum kit, since time will not allow for individual set-ups. Since several groups will be recording each day, it is important that you are punctual. You can expect to spend approximately 4 hours and unfortunately will not be involved in the mixing process.
